Workers use a Brokk 400D with a TEI 350 rock drill to drill through a tunnel wall. Crews used the attachment to drill holes for steel spiles, wellpoints and freeze pipes.

There’s no fast way to add more than 4 miles of track, most of it underground, to the Sound Transit Link Light Rail system in the Seattle area. But increasingly busy traffic through a number of neighborhoods made it necessary.
