Training and Safety are the Keys to Success

California’s J. Moraga takes pride in its employees as the company continues to grow.

Jose M Moraga, owner of J. Moraga Construction, started his company as a one-man show in 2006, but has grown significantly since then and now generates nearly $9 million in sales each year. Moraga credits his success to the crew he has, many of them have been with him since he started the company. Moraga says the training development has been the key to their success, especially with it getting tougher and tougher to find qualified employees. The company also takes pride in its safety practices.

In this video, crews from J. Moraga are installing a new utility conduit. Excavating trenches for large telecommunications companies generates about 60 percent of the company’s revenue, while directional drilling accounts for the remainder. Most drilling jobs are between 500 to 800 feet long, on average.
