Robert Garcia, a journeyman plumber with Option One Plumbing & Rooter in Phoenix, Arizona, needed to replace an existing Orangeburg pipe that was flaking in the bottom of the line and causing blockages.
“The customer didn’t want us to cut his concrete driveway or ruin his winter grass,” Garcia says. “To save him the headache, I used a TRIC (Tools) trenchless pulling system to install a new 4-inch SDR17 drainline.”
Garcia dug a hole near the home to connect with the new pipe and another near the sidewalk to connect with the existing Orangeburg.
“I was able to save the homeowner a bunch of money,” Garcia says. “He would have had a huge concrete bill to redo half of his driveway.”
