The North American Society for Trenchless Technology will hold its all-new HDD Good Practices Course Sept. 18-19, which is based on the recently released 5th Edition of NASTT’s HDD Good Practices Guidelines.
The revised course includes expanded geotechnical investigation recommendations, revised bend radius considerations and discussions on new U.S. Army Corps requirements for HDD crossings under levees. Significant changes have also been made to recommendations for guidance, surveying and tracking of HDD pilot holes, as well as construction considerations such as noise abatement, intersect methods, drilling in rock, pipe fabrication and inspection of HDD projects.
The training will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Time both days. The course will be conducted in a virtual webinar format.
The cost of the course is $300 for NASTT members and $350 for nonmembers, which includes attendance, course handouts and a Continuing Education Unit certificate issued by Louisiana Tech University. A digital training manual will be sent prior to the course. While membership is not required to register, participants must create a user account in the NASTT user portal to submit their registration.
