In a shining example of community solidarity, the City of Broken Arrow has stepped up to help Nowata after a fire destroyed essential public works equipment. Among the losses was Nowata's mini-excavator — critical machinery for maintaining city infrastructure.

The Broken Arrow City Council voted to donate a mini-excavator from its fleet to Nowata. While the machine has seen over 7,000 hours of service and carries a few dings, it will be instrumental in aiding Nowata as it rebuilds.

This act of generosity highlights the power of communities coming together in times of need. With disasters and challenges affecting many areas — from fires in the West to storms in the Carolinas — stories like this remind us of the importance of stepping up for our neighbors.
