Husky Portable Containment was recently awarded US Patent No. 8,746,478 — with other patents pending — for its Easy Lift Handles, which are mounted on the floor of its tanks.
Owner, Jay Claeys states, “Our company’s core product is our folding frame water tanks for firefighting. When I started at Husky, I knew we needed to innovate and improve on the almost 50-year-old design of the folding frame tank. In January 2005, with a little trial and error, I came up with the design for our Easy Lift Handles. I believe this invention is second in importance only to the folding frame tank itself.”
David Hatfield, retired fire chief of Perry Fire Department, agrees and calls the Easy Lift Handles “one of the best innovations for drop tanks that I have come across.”
