Giant Excavator Finds a Home in Texas
A giant dragline excavator at C&C Metals in Conroe, Texas, dwarfs Roy Morton, owner of Conroe Welding Supply. C&C Metals and another Conroe manufacturer, Mackanan, made the device for South African equipment manufacturer VR Steel. When attached to a mining crane, the excavator will act as a giant shovel scooping up earth to uncover the coal.
