No Dig Show

Tuesday night marks the big awards night at the North American Society for Trenchless Technology’s 2018 No-Dig Show in Palm Springs, California.

An awards dinner will be held Tuesday evening where the NASTT will present and recognize its Hall of Fame Class of 2018, as well as the Chair’s Award for Outstanding Lifetime Service, the Ralston Award for Young Trenchless Achievement and the Abbott Innovative Product Awards.

The second day of the No-Dig Show begins at 8 a.m. (PDT) with more technical paper sessions that run through noon when the exhibit hall opens.

One of the morning sessions today is a forum focusing on owner differing site conditions claims and how contractors and municipalities can handle those. Forum participants include Raul Cuellar from Orange County Sanitation District, Mark Hutchinson from Staheli Trenchless Consultants, and Owen Randall from the city of Fort Collins, Colorado.

The exhibit hall is open today from noon to 3:30 p.m., followed by more technical paper session until 5:35 p.m.

Educational Fund Auction a Success

NASTT’s 17th annual Educational Fund Auction and Reception was held Monday evening. The event helps raise money for many educational initiatives.

The theme for the evening was dress like your favorite ’50s icon. An online and silent auction was also held to help raise funds.
