Education/Training + Get AlertsThe North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT) now has all of its “Good Practices” courses initially scheduled for the annual No-Dig Show available virtually.
The show, originally planned for April in Denver, Colorado, was first postponed due to the pandemic, with plans to merge it with the 2020 No-Dig North event held by the NASTT Canadian chapters and planned for October. With pandemic concerns lingering, that show is now canceled as well, so the organization is attempting to still maintain its continuing education opportunities for contractors while allowing them to partake from their home or office.
The upcoming “Good Practices” course schedule is as follows:
Aug. 20: Introduction to Trenchless Technology – New Installations
Aug. 26: Introduction to Trenchless Technology – Rehabilitation
Sept. 17: Gas Distribution
Sept. 30: Laterals
Oct. 5-6: Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP)
Oct. 21-22: Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)
Nov. 5-6: New Installation Methods
Nov. 17: Municipal Sewer Grouting
Dec. 8-9: Pipe Bursting
One-day courses are four hours, and two-day courses are four hours each day. Breaks are provided.
The virtual courses include everything participants have come to expect from NASTT’s in-person training events, including real-time Q&A opportunities with expert instructors, a course manual for taking notes and following along during the class, a companion “Good Practices Guidelines” book (mailed after the course where applicable), and Continuing Education Units provided by the Trenchless Technology Center at Louisiana Tech University.
