The North American Society for Trenchless Technology invites industry professionals to its virtual New Installation Methods Good Practices course, scheduled for June 25-26. Each day the course will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Time, with breaks provided.
This in-depth virtual training, complete with case studies, offers a comprehensive overview of various trenchless new installation methods. Key topics include trenchless methods for grade and alignment control and guidance; the limitations and advantages of each method; steps for understanding underground conditions; how to establish proper launch invert; the history, sizes, equipment options and excavation processes for different ground types and pipe materials; ways to track underground pipe location; and understanding and reducing installation and jacking forces.
This course is specifically designed for contractors, municipal and utility employees, consulting engineers, inspectors and other industry practitioners. The cost is $300 for members and $350 for nonmembers. The fee includes attendance, course handouts and a Continuing Education Unit certificate issued by Louisiana Tech University.
A digital training manual will be sent to registered participants prior to the course. While NASTT membership isn't required to register, participants must create a user account in the NASTT user portal to complete registration.
