502 Equipment expands leadership team
502 Equipment added two key leaders to its growing team: Matt Magers as vice president of sales and Erin Spalding as brand director. As 502 Equipment continues to expand its footprint across Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee, the new leadership team members will play a critical role in driving sales performance and strengthening the company’s brand presence in the field. Magers brings over a decade of experience in industrial equipment sales and leadership. As VP of sales, he will lead the sales team with a focus on growing market share, deepening customer relationships and expanding manufacturer partnerships. Spalding joins the team with a strong background in marketing, communications and brand strategy after spending 14 years at national advertising agency, Doe-Anderson. She will lead efforts to elevate the 502 Equipment brand, enhance customer engagement and support growth through digital and in-person channels.

VMAC recognized in Canada’s Best Managed Companies Platinum Club
VMAC has been recognized as a winner of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies Platinum Club designation for 2025. This designation is awarded to companies that have retained their Best Managed designation for seven consecutive years or more and establishes VMAC as a leader in Canadian business excellence. Best Managed companies are leaders in their respective markets, creating jobs and achieving sustainable growth.

VARCo Supply marks its 50th anniversary
Founded by Harry Selfe in 1975, VARCo Supply is celebrating its 50th year in business. Now led by Selfe’s son, Ron, the company extends its thanks to all of its customers for their business.

McElroy commended for participation in OSHA’s SHARP program
In May, McElroy was recognized for its commitment to workplace safety and its participation in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program. Oklahoma Labor Commissioner Leslie Osborn presented the company with a proclamation commending leadership and employees at McElroy’s campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Osborn and OSHA Consultation Director Jason Hudson also presented company leadership with a flag commemorating McElroy’s SHARP-certified status. SHARP is an on-site consultation program that offers confidential occupational safety and health services to small- and medium-sized businesses in the U.S., free of charge. Consultants from local agencies or universities work with employers to identify workplace hazards, provide advice for compliance with OSHA standards, and assist in establishing and improving safety and health programs.

Komatsu America announces CEO transition
Komatsu America announced that Rod Schrader stepped down from his chairman and CEO roles on March 31, and will fully retire effective June 30. Under Schrader’s leadership, Komatsu revitalized and expanded its mining dump truck business, strengthened its dealer network, introduced Smart Construction and Smart Quarry technologies and efficiently integrated Joy Global (now Komatsu Mining Corp.) into the Komatsu family. Rod Bull became CEO of Komatsu North America effective April 1. Previously Bull served as executive vice president of Komatsu’s North America region. He brings nearly 25 years of leadership experience in the heavy equipment manufacturing industry, including 14 years with Komatsu.

Volvo CE dealer ROMCO expands territory
ROMCO Equipment, a Volvo CE dealer serving large portions of Texas and southern New Mexico, has been appointed the exclusive Volvo CE dealer in west Texas and several counties in Oklahoma and southern New Mexico. ROMCO will now represent Volvo CE in the entire state of Texas and surrounding areas for Volvo CE general purpose equipment, compact equipment, compaction and rigid hauler products, services and site solutions. ROMCO has provided equipment to customers in Texas since 1961.

Agreement signed for Mecalac Group to be acquired by the Fayat Group
The Fayat and Mecalac Groups have signed an agreement for the acquisition of the Mecalac Group by the Fayat Group. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval by the relevant competition authorities and is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2025. In the meantime, the Mecalac Group continues to operate as usual, and remains committed to supporting its customers and partners around the world.

Joe Johnson expands U.S. footprint

Federal Signal has named Joe Johnson Equipment the exclusive dealer for its Vactor products in Indiana and Louisiana and the exclusive dealer for Elgin products in Indiana, excluding Clark, Floyd and Harrison counties. Additionally, JJE will also provide service and parts support for other Federal Signal products including Guzzler and Truvac. This announcement comes after JJE completed its successful expansion into Virginia and underscores the company’s commitment to delivering infrastructure equipment and solutions across the U.S.

AUSA parts ordering transitions to JLG Online Express platform
JLG Industries announced that customers can now source parts for AUSA wheeled dumpers, rough terrain forklifts and compact telehandlers, purpose-built for the residential, civil and road construction industry and the transportation and handling of industrial and agricultural materials, through the industry-leading JLG Online Express eCommerce platform. Following the acquisition of AUSA in September 2024, JLG has completed a comprehensive system integration that will provide AUSA equipment owners with seamless access to a robust online parts ordering experience.

Felling Trailers updates its leadership team (Nathan Uphus, Jake Meyer)
Felling Trailers has appointed Nathan Uphus as director of sales and promoted Jake Meyer to sales manager. Uphus, a 25-year veteran of Felling Trailers, will focus on expanding the company’s presence in fleet markets while overseeing key customer relationships. Meyer, who has been with Felling’s inside sales team since 2015, steps into the sales manager role where he will oversee daily team operations, implement training programs for new sales team members and manage cross-departmental inquiries.
