Innovative Waterless Excavation Vacuum Allows Soil Reuse

Recognizing a need in the industry, Gear Equipment Inc. released its Dry Vac Suction Excavator in 2014. Its current fleet of waterless and hybrid hydroexcavation trucks is 15 units along with one field-service vehicle.

The Dry Vac Suction Excavator uses a unique waterless air system to excavate, giving customers the ability to properly manage soil by eliminating waste and allowing soil to be reused. It uses high-performance fans to generate airflow up to 43,000 m3h, so material can be excavated without mixing with water.

Gear Equipment Inc. is Canadian-owned and operated, serving the needs of the road-building, utility, industrial, sewer and water industries. When the company started operations in 2014, it had only two trucks and a dream. By 2015, Gear Equipment Inc. had a total of six trucks in its fleet, and by 2016 that had increased to 16 units.
