2018 WJTA-IMCA Expo dates announced
The 2018 WJTA-IMCA Expo will be held Nov. 1-2 in New Orleans at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Organized by the WaterJet Technology Association, the expo is a forum to connect contractors, asset owners, researchers, academics and suppliers to improve safety, technology and trade in the industry. Representatives from all related industry sectors will attend, including industrial, environmental and municipal water-blast cleaning and field services; industrial and municipal vacuuming; coating removal and surface preparation; concrete removal; hydroexcavation and related services.

Wastequip names new CIO
Mike Marchetti has been named the new chief information officer for Wastequip. In this role, Marchetti will lead the company’s information technology strategy to focus on enhancing security measures, integrating a number of disparate systems across the company to increase efficiency and reduce costs while identifying areas to leverage data and technology to grow the business. He brings more than 20 years of IT experience and leadership expertise to his role and most recently held the position of vice president of Truck Hero.

Vac-Con expands dealer network
Vac-Con has expanded its Construction and Utility dealer network with the addition of Ring Power Utility Equipment Division, headquartered in St. Augustine, Florida. Ring Power Utility Equipment Division will provide contractor end users with the rental and sales of the Vac-Con hydroexcavation product line for primary use in the construction industry.

TRIC Tools revises website to animate pipe bursting
TRIC Tools announced the re-release of its new website, www.trictools.com, with new animation featured for the X30 Pipe Bursting hydraulic ram. The animation is a collaboration with Trenchless Marketing, who will next feature the Municipal M100 hydraulic ram. The updated website is organized into eight sections that describe the company, what products and services they offer, and how TRIC can assist in meeting trenchless product needs.

John Deere names winner of annual contest
Neil Behnke, a volunteer with the nonprofit organization Black Forest Together, was chosen by the public as the grand prize winner of John Deere’s second annual “Small Machines. Big Impact.” contest at the 2018 John Deere Classic Chairman’s Dinner. As the winner, Behnke will take home his choice of a new model from the portfolio of John Deere small-, mid- and large-frame G-Series skid-steers and compact track loaders, with a WorkSite Pro attachment to help with his project, Rising Above the Ashes. This project helps residents of Black Forest, Colorado, clear their land of dead, dangerous trees, as a result of the most destructive fire in Colorado’s history. The June 11, 2013, fire spread across 14,000 acres in 10 days, destroying more than 500 homes, causing $85 million in damage and claiming two lives.

CASE expands North American dealer network
CASE Construction Equipment announced several dealer territory expansions in North America. Lee Tractor expanded its Mississippi coverage with a new location in Pearl, Mississippi, to serve the Jackson market. McCann Industries expanded to cover Northwest Indiana and Grand Rapids, Michigan, markets with two new locations in Mishawaka, Indiana, and Dorr, Michigan. Monroe Tractor expanded its New England coverage with a new branch location in South Windsor, Connecticut. Trekker Tractor continued its expansion in Florida with a new branch in Jacksonville. And Ina Store is a new CASE dealer that will cover Northern Michigan from Saginaw to Traverse City with a central location in Tustin.
