Even though your legs and feet are tired on just the second day of CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017, you continue on because you’ve only covered a tiny bit of this huge show.

That’s pretty much how I feel today after my second full day at this show at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, that is all I am able to attend this year — my first year at this show.

It’s eye-opening seeing what the construction industry has to offer and the array of technology and tools out there at your disposal. It’s not just big excavators, front loaders and backhoes here. There’s so much more.

Walk outside and you’ll see a sky filled with towering cranes, booms from hydroexcavators and walkways lined with manhole cutting tools, trenchers and other tools.

Throughout the two days I talked to contractors who learned the hard way no to spend only a day or two at the show. Now, they plan for a weeklong stay in Vegas to take in the entire show and see all the tools they want for their companies.

So, after 23,711 steps on Tuesday and 29,130 steps Wednesday — according to an app on my phone — here are a few scenes from this year’s show.

See you again in three years CONEXPO!
