Michels Corp. recently took possession of a new Prime Drilling Horizontal Directional Drilling rig at a key ceremony at the company’s headquarters in Brownsville, Wisconsin.The new Prime Drill 80/45 was acquired through trenchless equipment manufacturer TT Technologies in Aurora, Illinois, and manufactured by Prime Drilling GmbH of Wenden, Germany. The drills have been available in Europe for over 15 years but were recently added to the U.S. market over the last few years by TT Technologies.The Prime Drill 80/45 provides 180,000 pounds of pull force and offers a lightweight profile, weighing only 44,000 pounds.
