In this online exclusive video from the North American Society for Trenchless Technology's No-Dig Show, Kevin Miller, HDD sales manager for KONDEX, highlights the company's Drill Defender boring bits for prolonged steering and carving.

"These products will work in many different soil types — clays, gravels, sands, shales," says Miller, who also explains KONDEX's laser cladding process. "We actually use a laser to create a melt pool in the base material, and then behind that tungsten carbide powder is added into that melt pool, thus creating basically a solid carbide wear protection on the product."
