
This red GapVax hydroexcavator is being put to use by Goliath Hydro-Vac, based out of Elko, Minnesota. The company performs many jobs with its fleet of GapVax units, including utility locates, drilling mud removal, sewer maintenance, industrial cleanup and more. The company’s newest truck is built on a 2015 Kenworth T880 chassis and has a 1,200-gallon water tank, 12 1/2-cubic-yard debris body, a heated box to house the water pump and hose reel. Being in northern Minnesota, the truck also has glycol injection, cold weather recirculation and a water heater. The tandem-axle truck is also equipped with three drop-down axles.
