Godwin to use Volvo Penta industrial open power units
Volvo Penta will supply its PowerPac industrial open power units for use in Xylem’s Godwin dewatering pumps. The Tier 4 final diesel units will drive various Godwin pump systems in dewatering applications. The pumps eliminate water build-up quickly and efficiently to ensure productivity is not impeded. The PowerPac units are available in 8-, 11- and 13-liter packages with power ratings from 214 to 543 hp. They are designed for fast and easy installation by OEMs, and come with factory-installed components including all exhaust after-treatment components, engine cooling system (radiator and charge air cooler), air and fuel filters, guarding and shrouding. They use an SCR process with cooled exhaust gas recirculation to meet EPA emission standards without the need for periodic regeneration.
Komatsu America celebrates 30 years in Chattanooga
Komatsu America honored 30 years of manufacturing in Chattanooga, Tennessee with a week-long celebration. The Chattanooga plant opened in February 1985 and was Komatsu’s first plant in the United States. In honor of 30 years of manufacturing and cooperation with the community, the plant hosted daily tours, concluding the week with a plant ceremony.
HammerHead Trenchless acquires RS Lining Systems
HammerHead Trenchless Equipment acquired RS Lining Systems. The RS Lining team will join the Hammerhead Trenchless team at its facility in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. RS Technik pipe rehabilitation solutions will be added to HammerHead’s product and service offerings.
Trio Vision acquires Cobra Technologies
Trio Vision purchased assets of Optical Robotics LLC, dba Cobra Technologies. Cobra Technologies will now become the brand name of a line of the company’s products, while Trio Vision will introduce its own line of inspection equipment, including truck-mounted systems, portable systems, manhole cameras, jet cams and sonar.
