Cat Pumps Model 660 for hydroexcavating
The high-pressure pump is critical to hydroexcavating, jetting and washdown equipment and must perform in a wide range of environments. That’s why operators working in the heat of Texas or the cold of Alberta rely on Cat Pumps to provide long-lasting, reliable products wherever they are used. Cat Pumps’ Model 660 has been the workhorse of the mobile high-pressure industry for years. With a performance rating of 10 gpm at 3,000 psi, the combination of high performance, compact footprint and proven longevity helps hydroexcavators dig through the most challenging jobs. The pump can be belt-driven with a clutch, providing the on-demand ability to engage or disengage the water flow, which reduces runtime, saving energy and increasing pump life. Or, with a bell housing, an SAE hydraulic motor can be conveniently mounted to drive the pump. When productivity and reliability matter, you can trust Cat Pumps to keep equipment running. 763-780-5440; www.catpumps.com
HammerHead Trenchless PortaBurst PB30X unit
HammerHead Trenchless’ PortaBurst PB30X is a portable, cost-effective and efficient method of replacing 2- to 6-inch lateral pipes in a minimum amount of time, with up to 30 tons of pulling force. Along with being lighter than HammerHead’s previous downhole unit, the PB30X prioritizes portability and breaks down into three components, allowing for easy carrying into basements and overall transportation of the unit. Having the PB30X on a job site provides versatility as the unit can burst sewer laterals and slit water and gas services. To continue to provide flexibility to customers, HammerHead is now providing stackable extraction cages and an extended Quick Grip Burst Head line covering 2- to 6-inch options. 800-331-6653; www.hammerheadtrenchless.com
Volvo Construction Equipment EC260 and EC300 excavators
Volvo Construction Equipment introduced two midsize crawler excavator models in North America. The EC260 replaces the EC250 in Volvo’s lineup, and the new EC300 is an update of the previous series’ model. The new models feature an optimized electro-hydraulic system, smart cooling system and engine speed regulation that contribute to up to 15% better fuel efficiency. They also have better machine control for smooth and precise movement of the boom, bucket and other hydraulic components. In addition they offer ten work modes, including two specific to power and four specific to automatic ECO modes. A new creep travel mode couples with boom and arm shock reduction for reduced spillage and added safety. The EC260 and EC300 have Volvo Smart View with Obstacle Detection, which gives operators 360-degree visibility of the machine’s surroundings and the ability to distinguish between objects and humans. 828-650-2000; www.volvoce.com
